Last week Judith Burman and I met to discuss the future of the allotments in the Church garden and we hope that there might be some families willing to take over some of the plots.
The produce has been sold after Mass and the income donated to Cafod. They have been going for ten years, the project having been initiated by Fr Jeremy Trood.
There are 12 plots and we thought that to encourage parishioners to take up the plots and sell the produce. Four of the plots would be offered for private use to those wishing to cultivate the others for the Parish's and Cafod's benefit.
