Firstly I would like to thank on behalf of the Parish all those involved with the Liturgy over the Easter Triduum, the musicians, ably led by Emma Higham and Gavin Evenhuis, the altar servers led by Pat Keane. I thought all the liturgies were very prayerful and opened a way into the drama that the Church was celebrating. May I also thank those involved with the post Mass refreshments by Joe and Fran Early, and the bar by Adrian and Kathy McGuiness.
The Argentinian BBQ and Otaka Musical Tea Party
I think we would all wish to thank Mercedes, Valeria and Lily, and all their cooks and helpers for organising such an enjoyable BBQ fundraiser for the (post Easter) Lenten Project. The food and drink were an earthly reflection of the Prophet Isaiah’s vision of theheavenly banquet promised for the end of time.
Last weekend Mercedes and her assistants worked with the Otakar Centre to provide a fundraising tea par-ty which was very well attended. The combined efforts of all those involved with the Lenten Project over the last two months is very much appreciated. The final fund-raising total will be announced shortly once the accounts have been completed.
